Impromptu Speeches

Most meeting roles in Toastmasters are impromptu, such as table topics, evaluations, timer, and grammarian. The exceptions are the prepared speeches.

Presiding Officer

When the President is not present, the Presiding Officer is the first of the VP Education, VP Membership, VP Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, or Sergeant at Arms, in the order as listed.

Six Week Schedule

Guidelines

• Speaking spots are given to members who sign up at the meeting, which encourages attendance and participation in the club. Icebreakers and new members have priority for speaking positions;

Speaking Opportunities

The Nina Toastmasters six week schedule is an especially vital part of club activity, helping to ensure that all members have ample speaking opportunities and are able to schedule their speeches when desired. The Nina Toastmasters schedule is prepared by the VPE, who also oversees club contests, and is responsible for the mentoring program.
